St. Joseph's, D.C., and Club Cafe

It has been a busy couple of weeks for the ol' Big Bend.  So, as Sheriff Helms says, "No hare ever jumped in a pot and stewed himself, or so long as I been cookin' that is."

With that in mind, on the weekend of June 21/22, Abe, Andy, and Chet were at the set of Jason Georgiades' short film "St. Joseph's Fair."  His film will be part of a collection of shorts celebrating Pittsburgh's many diverse and interesting neighborhoods.  The Big Bend wrote the soundtrack to Jason's film, and will appear in the movie as the "Fair Band." Check out the link below for more information on Jason's film.

Later, on June 28th, the Big Bend was in Washington D.C. for a show at the Grog and Tankard.  The show went really well, and it was great to have the chance to hang out with both old and new friends.  Also, got to see the band Koko play.  Koko is a D.C.-based post-punk dance band, and three of its members used to be in Chet's old band "The Wakes."  It is exciting to see Koko is doing well -- be sure to check them out.

And finally, July 5th was the big show at Club Cafe with The Airplane Graveyard.  Thanks so much to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable evening.  It went better than we could have possibly hoped.  We'll be sure to put up pictures and even some mp3s from the night as soon as possible.
